摘要 PURPOSE: A stacked type canister assembly for automotive vehicle is provided to accomplish improved use efficiency of canister by effectively utilizing activated carbon which fills an interior of the canister housing. CONSTITUTION: A stacked type canister assembly comprises a canister housing(9), a partition(11) arranged in widthwise direction at an approximate center portion of the housing(9) so as to divide the housing into upper and lower portions, an inlet port(13) arranged at a portion of an upper wall of the housing(9) so as to take in an evaporative gas from a fuel tank, a purge(15) arranged beneath the inlet port(13), an outlet port(17) arranged at a portion of a lower wall of the housing(9) so as to discharge purified evaporative gas, and an activated carbon filling an interior of the housing(9). The assembly further comprises an intake air diffusion plate(19) separated from the inlet port(13) by a predetermined spacing and which has a plurality of penetrating holes to permit the fuel evaporative gas flowed into the port(13) to be diffused into the entire portion of the housing(9), air layer forming plates(25) arranged through an upper portion to a lower portion of the housing(9) for a smooth diffusion of the fuel evaporative gas passing through the housing(9), and an exhaust gas diffusion plate(29) separated from the outlet port(17) by a predetermined spacing and which serves to smoothly discharge the fuel evaporative gas from the housing to a throttle body.
