SYSTEM FOR PARALLEL DECODING INTERLEAVED DATA STREAM IN MPEG DECODER

PURPOSE: A system for parallel decoding interleaved data stream in a MPEG decoder is provided to process interleaved image data including predetermined sequence of the image data. CONSTITUTION: A system for parallel decoding interleaved data stream in a MPEG decoder includes an input network(12,14), an interleaving network(24,27) and an image signal processor(30,32,40,42,36,38). The input network(12,14) receives data streams of MPEG coded data. The interleaving network(24,27) responses to the data stream so as to induce a multiple data stream(P1,P2) from the data stream. The multiple data stream is configured in a sequence which is predetermined for image data each of which is interleaved. The image signal processor(30,32,40,42,36,38) responses to the multiple data stream so as to generate a decoded image information. The interleaved image data includes a data block component of a MPEG compatible macro block further including information denoting pixels.
