PURPOSE: A method for extracting object territory using multi-level color region is provided to efficiently extract an object territory in the limited color range by establishing the total color range of object color at extracting the object or partial territory of object. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting object territory using multi-level color region comprises the steps of;subdividing the total color range corresponding to object or partial territory of object to be extract in predetermined size and then establishing the color range of limited lower level;extracting the respective object candidate image corresponding to color range of established lower level;confirming the respective object candidate image by template matching;and extracting the object or partial territory of object.
