APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DOWN CONVERTING FREQUENCY IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A down converter device of a digital communication system is provided to perform a decimation function by using a low DAC(Digital-To-Analog Converter)/ADC(Analog-To-Digital Converter) when a decimation rate is a non-integer. CONSTITUTION: A decimator(221) decimates IF(Intermediate Frequency) data as a setup value, and performs a down conversion. A DAC(Digital-To-Analog Converter)(225) performs an analog conversion for decimation data as a value which divides a sampling rate of the IF data into a decimation rate when the sampling rate of the IF data is not integer times of a destination channel data rate. An ADC(Analog-To-Digital Converter)(229) performs a sampling for an analog signal by the data rate of a destination channel, and performs a digital conversion.
