A METHOD FOR DETECTING PAPER USING SCANNER

PURPOSE: A manuscript detecting method using a scanner is provided to reduce the number of parts by detecting a manuscript by a scanner which is mounted to a carriage. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a reading operation starts(S101). When the reading operation starts, a scanner moves to a center of a valid reading section(S102). A driving roller drives(S103). The scanner detects a manuscript to confirm an output level of an image data of the scanner(S104). The scanner reads the image data(S106). The scanner stores the read image data in an RAM(S107). It is judged whether the manuscript is detected for a predetermined time(S109). When the manuscript is not detected for a predetermined time(S109). The scanner generates a paper jam message(S110). The scanner control a display device to display an error message(S111).
