PURPOSE: A protective clothing for human body is provided, which has a sufficient protect capability with a light weight and a good feeling of wear with a flexible adaptation to any movement of the upper body. CONSTITUTION: In a protective clothing for human body, a disposition portion(4) for arranging protective plates is provided in a body protect area(30) of a clothing. A protective portion for protecting human body is constituted by mounting protective plate mounting members(10), in which the protective plates(9) are mounted, on a substrate(8) provided on the body protect area(30) in a surround direction of a body and an up and down directions. The protective plates(9) are mounted to be freely moved about the substrate(8) by supporting and mounting the upper portions of the protective plate mounting members(10) on the substrate(8). The lengthwise protective plate(9) is arranged such that a lower portion of the protective plate(9) provided on the upper side of the body protect area(30) covers an upper portion of the protective plate(9) provided on the lower side of the body protect area(30). Accordingly, the protective clothing protect the human body from bullet, knife edge, and a broken piece of any explosives.
