摘要 PURPOSE: An amplifier of fiber optics having a high small signal gain is provided to enhance the small signal gain in the whole wavelength range of EDFA(Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier). CONSTITUTION: An amplifier of fiber optics having a high small signal gain comprises a pump laser diode, a wavelength division multiplexor, a fiber optics amplification medium, a coupler, a circulator and a filter. The pump laser diode can introduce the light for pumping in order to amplify an incident signal light. The wavelength division multiplexor can combine the pump light from the pump laser diode in one fiber optics. The fiber optics amplification medium can amplify the light signal introduced from the wavelength division multiplexor into the light for pumping of the pump laser diode and also amplify a returned signal light. The coupler mounted in the form of loop mirror can send the amplified signal light in the form of loop mirror to the fiber optics amplification medium again. The circulator located in the front of the wavelength division multiplexor transfers the incident light to the wavelength division multiplexor and outputs the passed final signal when the returned signal light amplified pass through the wavelength division multiplexor via the fiber optics amplification medium. The filter is located in the coupler or between the fiber optics amplification medium and the coupler and protects ASE(Amplified Spontaneous Emission).
