PURPOSE: A control device I/O interface method is provided to generate an interpreter target code, and stably interface the generated target code to a control device by defining I/O port purpose at a host computer, and executing an I/O signal processing algorithm with use of a function block editor of the host computer. CONSTITUTION: A control device I/O interface method comprises steps of starting an execution of a main program(1), initializing system variables, bias related variables, and I/O port(2), executing a self diagnosis(3), displaying a system error(4), enabling all the tasks except an interpreter(5), checking a restart by a re-powering after a power failure(6), recovering to an I/O state prior to a power failure(7), checking if a purpose of the I/O port is set(8), disabling the task of the interpreter(9), setting the purpose of the I/O port(10), checking if the purpose of the I/O port is finished(11), checking if a function block target code is converted(12), disabling the task of the interpreter(13), converting the function block target code(14), checking if the conversion of the function block target code is finished(15), checking if the control device is in a fault state(16), disabling the task of the interpreter if the control device is in a fault state(17), executing the task for releasing the fault state(18), enabling the task of the interpreter(20), and analyzing the function block target code(21).
