The vibration damper is used between a motor and a drive string with an input section and an output section which acts against damping components. These contain energy storing components (13) which are built into the input section and are filled with a viscous material or a lubricant. These components are arranged radially in an annular channel (12). The output section has a hub (6) for accommodating the shaft of the drive string with an annular or disk shaped flange (36) connected to the energy storing components.
