PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide small-loss and highly efficient flywheel energy storage equipment which can rotate a rotating body stably, merely by supporting the body with a superconducting bearing by making the best use of the characteristics of the superconducting bearing that can realizes stable levitation without control. SOLUTION: Energy storage equipment consists of a superconducting bearing 1 constituted of a magnet 3 for levitation and a superconductor 2, disposed facing each other with the magnet 3, a rotating body which includes a flywheel 7 rotatably supported by the superconducting bearing 1, and a generator motor 4 which inputs and outputs energy. The axial length of the rotating body including the flywheel 7 is smaller than the outermost diameter of itself. |
