PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system capable of accessing a recording medium for enciphering and storing data with simple operation while reducing the change to an existent device. SOLUTION: Concerning this stored data protecting method, when a memory card 1 is mounted on an access device 2 and the access device 2 is activated, a driver for certification is read out of a storage part 11 by the access device 2 and a password is acquired and enciphered. When the enciphered password is coincident with an enciphering password in the storage part 11 and further enciphered fixed data in the storage part 11 express the same fixed data as fixed data stored in the access device 2, the memory card 1 and the access device 2 are mutually certified. When the certification is made successful, the access device 2 deciphers the general data read out of the storage part 11 through a controller 12, enciphers the data of a recording object and writes them in the storage part 11. |
