PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sealability of a terminal unit from being lowered, when a lid member 2 is welded to a battery can main body. SOLUTION: A projected edge 2b projected towards a can main body 23 is provided in a circumferential edge of a lid main body part 2a of a lid member 2 ranging over the whole circumference, a terminal unit 3 is supported to the peripheral edge of an attaching hole of the main body part 2a via a gasket 13, the tip of projected edge 2b is butted to an opening part peripheral edge of the can main body 23, a butted part 8 butted hereinbefore is welded by a laser beam 9, and the welded part 8 is separated thereby from a seal part sealed by the gascket 13 to prevent the gascket 13 of the seal part from being permanently set deteriorated by welding heat. |
