PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire suitable for use for a coil of electric apparatus used even under a special environment filled with chemicals such as ammonia gas. SOLUTION: This insulated wire is an insulating layer for insulating a conductive linear material by forming a chemical-resistant thermoplastic material layer (a teflon layer 2) on the outer surface of a conductor linear material (an aluminum layer 1), forming a glass fiber layer 3 on the outer surface of the thermoplastic material layer, forming a chemical-resistant thermoplastic material layer (a teflon layer 4) on the outer surface of the glass fiber layer 3, and melting these thermoplastic material layers. The thermoplastic material is a single material or a combined material of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polytetrafluoroalkoxy resin (PFA), fluorinated ethylenepropylene copolymer (FEP), ethylenetetra-fluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE), and polychlorotriethylene copolymer (CTFE).
