PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk dubbing system in which a dubbing is accomplished in a short device side standby time. SOLUTION: The system is a CD/MD dubbing system 60 which is capable of dubbing CD data into an MD. The system 60 is provided with a CD reproducing device 62, a storage device 64, an MD recording and reproducing device 66 and a controller 68. The device 62 is capable of reading the data recorded on a CD with a 32 times faster speed. The device 66 and the controller 68 have conventional constitutions. The device 64 records data at a high speed, stores the data and has an HDD device 64a, which is provided as a device main body and an input output/computing device 64b. The device 64b controls the operations of the device 64a, receives the data from the CD with a speed of 2 Mbps, converts the data to the data for the device 64a, converts the data stored in the device 64a into the data for the device 66 and outputs the data. In the system, the data in the CD are temporarily stored in the device 64 at a high speed and then, the data are transmitted to the device 66 to record the data in an MD at a standard speed.
