PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the height of a coin storing and ejecting device low, to simplify a structure, to facilitate maintenance and further to surely return a received coin even when it is returned. SOLUTION: Coins are stored in a coin storing part 52 while they are accumulated horizontally. When a coin is received, the coin is received from a coin insertion slot 54 at one end upper part of the part 52 into the part 52 by a carrying means 60 and the received coin is placed in the part 52 by a pressing means 68. When a coin is ejected, the means 68 is retreated and the means 60 sends the coin in the part 52 from a coin sending opening 55 at one end lower part of the part 52. When the coin is received into the part 52, a partitioning means 80 is made to proceed to divide accumulated and stored coins in the part 52 from the received coin. When the received coin is accumulated and stored, the means 80 is retreated and the accumulated and stored coins and the received coin are accumulated. When received coins are returned, only received coins partitioned from the accumulated and stored coins by the means 80 are returned.
