PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compiler which makes it possible to use large capacity automatic variables in a limited data area and to provide its variable allocating method and its program recording medium. SOLUTION: The symbol arranging part 130 of this compiler contains a variable management table reviewing part 131 which additionally registers all automatic variables accessed by functions registered in a variable management table produced by a part 121 for analyzing an automatic variable effective range and function hierarchical structure in the variable management table and an automatic variable address deciding part 132 which allocates the address of an automatic variable additionally registered by the part 131. The part 132 overlaps the automatic variable additionally registered in the variable management table by the part 131 on a variable except it and can allocate an address.
