PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect the optimized characteristic on a controlled system in a short time and also to simplify an arithmetic operation by optimizing a control parameter of a control module used for the normal control immediately by means of an optimization technique using a heuristics. SOLUTION: The initial value of a parameter to be optimized is decided at random, a 1st generation consisting of plural initial solid bodies is generated, a trial ride is carried out by means of the parameter of one of these solid bodies and the evaluation value is inputted (S1-1 to S1-3). It is decided whether the desired drivability or acceleration properties are obtained. If the said properties are obtained, the evolution processing is finished. If those properties are not obtained, it is decided whether the trial ride and evaluation are over with all solid bodies of one generation. It these trial rides are not through, the parameter of a control module is changed to another solid body (S1-4 to S1-6) and the trial ride is carried out again (S1-2). Then an evolutive calculation module is applied (S1-7), a group of solid bodies of the next generation are generated and the trial ride and evaluation are carried out. This procedure is repeated until the desired drivability or acceleration properties are obtained and accordingly the parameter is optimized.
