PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a fixing operation by a belt fixing device adopting the heated endless belt. SOLUTION: Recording material S that the toner image is fixed thereon is made to pass through a press contact part N between the heated endless belt and a pressure roller 120 held in press contact with each other, and toner image being heated/melted is fixed on the recording material. The image forming device is provided with the oil roller 150 applying the releasing oil to a contact area N1 with the recording material on the endless belt 110, and simultaneously provided with the oil barrier B between an area N1 and the area N3 on the back up roller 130, and also provided with the high grip part G' in the press contact area N3. In the case of forming full color toner image on both sides of the recording material, the above mentioned is particularly effective.
