Polymer-enlarged catalysts for homogeneous catalysis comprise a polymer (I) selected from: (a) linear or branched homo- or copolymers of butadiene and/or isoprene; (b) copolymers of butadiene and/or isoprene, optionally with propylene and/or styrene; and (c) block copolymers of polybutadiene and/or polyisoprene, optionally with polypropylene and/or polystyrene. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) polymer-enlarged precatalysts comprising (I); (2) a process for producing the polymer-enlarged catalysts in which the catalysts are generated in situ from the polymer-enlarged precatalysts of (1); (3) a process for producing polymer-enlarged precatalysts, comprising binding pre-active centers to (I) or (co)polymerizing monomers having pre-active centers.
