<p>This invention provides a method of diagnosing a predisposition to carcinoma by determining the beclin allele status of a patient. This invention also provides uses of becline for treating viral disease, inhibiting viral replication by administering an effective amount of Beclin with the virus infected cell, inhibiting viral replication, treating cancer by inducing increased expression of Beclin.</p> |
