The invention relates to a combined children's chair which solves problems encountered with earlier chairs of this type by providing a multi-purpose item of children's furniture having a simple structure. Said chair consists of two separate chairs (1 and 2) which are joined by means of fastening devices (10, 15) in such a way that the chairs' pairs of leaning arches (3) form any semicircular or semi-elliptical line. The leaning arches (3) are joined by means of transverse slats (12, 13, 14) and are separated from each other by way of openings (8, 9). The seat (4) and the backrest (5) are attached at right angles to the two shorter edges of the opening (8) and a handle element (6) is positioned at the free end of the backrest (5). The chairs (1) and (2) separately each form a free-standing seating unit and in the combined or integrated state constitute a combination piece of children's furniture. When said piece of furniture is rotated about its vertical axis it can be used primarily as a two-seat bench, a two-seat children's rocking chair or a raised single-seat chair, and secondarily as a multi-purpose children's chair configured as a single, inseparable item. |
