PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system capable of accessing enciphered data with simple processing while enciphering and protecting recorded data. SOLUTION: Concerning this stored data protecting method, a storage part 11 is mounted on a controller 12 and when the controller 22 is mounted on an access device 2, the controller 12 reads device ID data and card information structure(CIS) data out of the storage part 11 and certifies the storage part 11 with the device ID data and the CIS data. When the certification is made successful, further, boot information and a cryptographic key are read out and supplied to the access device 2. Afterwards, the access device 2 deciphers the general data read out of the storage part 11 through the controller 12 while using the cryptographic key, enciphers the data of a recording object while using the cryptographic key and writes the controller 12 in the storage part H. |
