PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a video signal of an interlace system to a video signal of a non interlace system and of desired resolution by a signal conversion processing by varying a coefficient for weighting the scanning line of a video signal for each field so as to interpolate the scanning line. SOLUTION: The video signal of the non-interlace system of prescribed resolution outputted from a two-dimensional scanning line interpolating and resolution converting circuit 10 is multiplied by a coefficient β by a coefficient device 5 and outputted to an adder 7. In addition, the video signal of the interlace system of prescribed resolution outputted from a resolution conversion circuit 8 is multiplied by a coefficient α by a coefficient device 6 and outputted to the adder 7. The two video signals of the non-interlace system are added by the adder 7 and outputted. Consequently, in the interpolation of the scanning line in the circuit 10, the values of coefficients β1 and β2 are varied for each interpolation scanning line and the values of the coefficients β1 and β2 are varied for each field. |
