<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-resistant color filter and the method for the produc tion of this filter having good smoothness, no pinhole in an overcoat layer 12, enough chemical resistance, no decrease in the transmittance of the overcoat layer, and no problems concerning to safety and health. SOLUTION: This color filter is obtd. by laminating dye pixels 11 and an overcoat layer 12 on a substrate 10. The overcoat layer 12 consists of low melting point glass containing Bi2O3 and B2O3 as the main components while containing no lead compd. A dye pixel film and a coating film essentially comprising Bi2O3 and B2O3 while containing no lead compound are formed on the substrate and baked to form the dye pixels and the overcoat layer to produce the heat-resistant color filter.</p> |
