PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, in which the maintenance work of a substrate covered with a cover for equipment maintenance formed on the button face side of a device main body is made efficiently. SOLUTION: A rear edge face 12a of a lower exterior cover 12 of facsimile equipment 11 is formed as a flat face standing erect almost perpendicular to a bottom face 12b of the cover 12. Also, a rear edge face 15a of a top cover 15 to be mounted on the upper side of the rear part of the lower exterior cover 12 is formed as a flat face on the same face as the rear edge face 12a in a state that the rear edge face 15a is mounted on the upper side of the lower exterior cover 12. A substrate housing part 41 is formed integrally with the lower face of a mechanism part support stand 31 forming the bottom face side of the device main body. A substrate plate 43, to which a substrate 45 is fixed, is fastened to the substrate housing part 41. The maintenance work of the substrate 45 is operated in a state in which the rear edge faces 12a and 15a are set on the floor face, and in which the device main body is erected.
