PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability and heating efficiency while preventing degradation of quality due to the excessive heat by providing a heat radiating means for radiating the heat near the exciting means for exciting the heating member so as to generate the eddy current for heating while using air flow. SOLUTION: A fixing device as a heating device is provided with a fixing roller 1 as a core cylinder made of iron, and a pressurizing roller 2 having a Si rubber layer in the periphery of the core made of iron. The only fixing roller 1 is driven, and the pressurizing roller 2 is driven for following rotation by the frictional force of a nip part. An exciting coil 7 as an exciting means is connected to a high frequency converter, and the alternating current at 10-100 kHz is applied to the coil 7. Eddy current is flowed near the inner surface of the fixing roller 1 having conductivity by the magnetic field led by the alternating current flowing in the exciting coil 7, and the Joule heat is generated. A duct 15 for introducing the cooling air into the fixing roll 2 is provided, and the atmospheric air is blown by a fun to the exciting coil 7 and a magnetic core 8 inside of the fixing roller 1.
