The pipe connector for pipelines consists of a coupling sleeve (3) which overlaps the ends of the two pipes (1, 2) which are to be connected. A sealing sleeve (4) is inserted between the coupling sleeve and each pipe end and is attached to the coupling sleeve at two points, leaving a cylindrical space between. An inlet (10) for pressurised fluid communicates with this space.
