The present invention concerns a method for the production of a fastener used to attach e.g. a button to a garment, whereby a thread is fed through an injection mould, next at least two needles are molded around the thread in such a way that after the molding of the needles the thread has been fed through the needles near one end of the needles, and whereby after the molding of the needles, the thread is cut into parts in such a way that each part is provided with a molded needle at both ends.
