DISPLAY CASE WITH HEATED GLASS PANEL

A perishable merchandise display case (10) has a plurality of thermally insulated, bent and tempered glass window panels (20) disposed in side-by-side relation. The panels may be stationary or mounted for pivotal movement about an upper horizontal pivot axis. Each of the window panels (20) has a region which may be selectively heated to prevent moisture condensation and frost formation on the glass panel. The heated region is formed of an electrically conductive coating (80) deposited on a surface of the glass panel to extend between a pair of spaced apart electrically conductive strips (60), one of which serves as an anode, the other as a cathode. When electrical current is applied to the conductive strips, a voltage potential is established between the strips whereby electric current passes through the conductive coating to heat the glass panel.
