PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a seal impression part from a color document, which has a preprint part of the same color with the seal impression, separately from others by removing the preprint image from a binary image composed of red pixels and extracting an image of the seal impression part. SOLUTION: Color component image data of the primary colors obtained by a color sensor 300 are binarized by binarization parts 301, 302 and 303 into binary data of respective color components, which are stored in color-component binarization storage parts 305, 206 and 307. A red pixel extraction part 308 inputs color-component binary images, detects the position coordinates of red pixels, and outputs the red pixels 320. A preprint image storage part 309 is stored with a preprint document image 321 generated by document generating software. A preprint removal part 310 erases the preprint image 321 from the red image 320 and outputs a red seal impression candidate image 322. A seal impression omission decision part 311 extracts image features of the red seal impression candidate image 322 and decides that the seal impression is given according to the feature quantity. |
