<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a server for retrieving information with which information related to a position can be collected while performing retrieval in place of a client when the client is to retrieve information stored on a server. SOLUTION: Concerning this information retrieval system, when an information retrieval client 110 transmits location information acquired by using a location acquiring means 111 to an information retrieval server 100, a recording position information retrieving means 101 extracts recording position information by retrieving a recording position information table 102 and on the basis of this recording position information, an information retrieving means 103 retrieves information related to the position information from a world wide web(WWW) home page 120 and transmits it to the information retrieval client 110. Then, the information retrieval client 110 displays the received information.</p> |
