<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated type surface mounted pointing device for controlling the movement of an object on a display screen. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a base member 40, a shaft 12 mounted on the member 40, sensors 14 that are attached to the shaft 12 and detect strain quantity in the shaft 12 which generated in response to force applied to the shaft 12 and a 1st pair of separated electric leads that pierce the member 40 partially and extends. Each electric lead has an inner end part electrically connected to the sensors 14 and outer terminals 16 extending outward from the member 40. The pair of electric leads has a shape for mounting them on the surface of a circuit board.</p> |
