PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify that an instruction execution circuit serves as the shared data by preparing an instruction to declare that a variable that is used by a programmable controller serves as the shared data against another device. SOLUTION: When a sequence instruction execution circuit 2 reads an instruction word out of a program memory 3 and executes it, a shared data designation part is referred to. However, if the operand of the instruction word does not designate its own controller PC1, it is decided that the data are contained in another controller and it is can be decided that the data are shared with this controller. Thus, it is possible to understand that the data to be collated with the instruction word are shared with another controller and to designate the location of the data by designating the location of the data at a shared data designation part of the instruction word. The same designation is possible when the object data serve as an I/O 8 of the controller PC1 or an I/O 31 of another controller PC3.
