PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an AC generator to suppress a temperature rise in a bearing and, in addition, to improve coolability in a rectifier. SOLUTION: In the central part of a frame 5, a bearing housing section 43 which houses a bearing 39 is provided and attached to the frame 5 with stud bolts 44 used for attaching a rectifier 6. The positive electrode-side heat sink 63 and terminal block 61 of the rectifier 6 are integrally fixed to each other with pipe rivets 44 and the rectifier 6 is fixed to the frame 5 by passing the stud bolts 44 through the hollow sections of the rivets 44. In addition, the negative-side heat sink 62 of the rectifier 6 is directly attached to the frame 5 near the outer periphery of the frame 5.
