The cone angle between the more important respective roller tracks (W1,W2,W3) is smaller than remaining tracks so that the rolling ratio is also smaller. The cone angle for the respective roller tracks is select rated for the most important operating areas so the cone apices lie at the intersection (D) of the friction gear axes. In the transmission ranges normal to motorways and/or in a region with ratio governed by minimum engine usage at speed 50 km/h, the rolling tracks (W1,W2,W3) give an especially small cone angle and resulting greatly reduced slippage. The truncatedly conical tracks give one or more areas of zero slippage, using corrugated or toothed surfaces to ensure positive power transmission between the gearwheels and possibly interposed hollow cylinder. In the transition area the teeth project gently as against in the other areas where the ascending teeth rise up or are increasingly molded with tooth height less than 3% of the track diameter.
