A guide frame for guiding a plurality of 'nested' trolleys such as supermarket shopping trolleys comprises a frame 12 having at least one wheel or castor 20, 22 and movable restraining means 32A,32B,34A,34B,36A,36B. The frame may be generally T-shaped having a longitudinal bar 14 and a transverse bar 16 at one end thereof, and an end frame 40 attached to the transverse bar locating a centre bar 30 above the lower longitudinal bar 14. The restraint means are movable (see figure 2) so that a line of trolleys may be located to either side of the two central longitudinal bars before being moved to their restraint positions as shown in figure 1. The trolleys are then restrained from moving in two perpendicular directions and may be towed behind a propulsion unit by means of a coupling 50. |
