PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the structure of a circuit simple and small-sized by providing a 2nd Josephson junction, which has hysteresis in currentvoltage characteristics and also has its 1st terminal connected to a 2nd terminal of a 1st Josephson junction, and is supplied with an SFQ pulse at the 2nd terminal. SOLUTION: An SFQ/latching conversion circuit has its main part composed of Josephson junctions J4 and J5 and an inductor L6. The Josephson junctions J4 and J5 are made of Nb/AlOx/Nb junctions. For example, the critical current value of the Josephson junction J4 is 250μA, the critical current value of the Josephson junction J5 is 100μA, and a bias current IB2 is 200μA. The Josephson junctions J4 and J5 shifts to a voltage state almost at the same time. Namely, Kirchhoff's law does not hold in the absence of the Josephson junction J5, so that the Josephson junction J4 cannot be shifted into the voltage state stably.
