Human nucleic acid sequences (I) from endothelial cells comprising 1 of 59 sequences of 134-2968 base pairs (given in the specification), it variants, or their complements, are new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) BAC, PAC and cosmid clones, containing functional genes and their chromosomal localization corresponding to (I), to be used as vehicles for gene transfer; (2) an expression cassette comprising a nucleic acid fragment or sequence as above, together with at least one control or regulatory sequence; (3) a host cell containing a heterologous nucleic acid fragment as above as expressible genetic information; (4) a method to produce a polypeptide or a fragment by cultivating the cell of (3); (5) an antibody targeted against a polypeptide or fragment encoded by (I); (6) a polypeptide sequence expressed by (I); and (7) a genomic gene, its promoter, enhancer, silencer, exon structure, intron structure and splice variants, obtained from (I);.
