PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recorded data from being partly damaged by over-writing exceeding a limited recording range, or to prevent such a situation from occurring as an expected recording data is too large to over-write. SOLUTION: This disk recording device reads recorded data from a disk and reproduces a bit clock from the recorded data by a clock reproducing circuit 7, and processes the data by an encoder 14 in synchronism with the bit clock. Thus, the device outputs the recorded data from the encoder 14 in synchronism with the data recorded on the disk, and makes the recording data to over-write on the disk synchronize with the recorded data. In such a manner, over-writing is accurately performed in a limited recording range.
