PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce thickness in a manual generator in which a magnet and a coil is arranged with an axial gap in between. SOLUTION: A generator 1 is provided with a speed increasing mechanism 6 which increases rotating speeds given from the outside, a rotor section having a magnet 1 which is rotated at a high speed by means of the mechanism 6, and a stator section having a plurality of coils 21 constituting a magnetic circuit together with the magnet 19 of the rotor section 19 through an axial gap. The coils 21 arranged in the direction of rotation of the magnet 19 are partially thinned and part of the gears of the speed increasing mechanism 6 is the space of the thinned gear.
