PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film feeding controller constituted so that a first frame can be automatically fed even whether the notch of a film is detected or not. SOLUTION: A first perforation is decided to be the notch when a second perforation cannot be detected (S206, S208 and S209) while the film is moved as long as a prescribed distance after the first perforation is detected (S204 and S205) and decided to be the adjacent perforation when the second perforation is detected (S206 and S207). Thus, since the notch of the leading edge part of the film is more surely prevented from being erroneously detected than the case that it is prevented from occurring by a conventional method that the perforation is not detected in some prescribed term, and the idle feeding action of the film is precisely executed by detecting the perforation.
