<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel and its manufacturing method by which the picture inspection with probes capable of performing collective contact is surely and easily performed even in the case of a COG mounting system, then the delicate color spots or the like are distinguished to improve the inspection accuracy and to prevent oversights of defects, and the wasted cost in the panel assembling process is drastically reduced. SOLUTION: In the COG mounting system of the display panel, terminal electrode 11, 12 for inspection are placed corresponding to probes for the inspection on the outside region of terminal electrodes 6, 5 for scanning lines and signal lines arranged on the outside of a picture displaying part G1 of an active substrate 2 corresponding to the COG mounting system. When the picture inspection is finished after assembling of the liquid crystal panel the terminal electrodes 11, 12 for the inspection are insulated from the terminal electrodes 6, 5 for the scanning lines and the signal lines. Otherwise, electric connections between the terminal electrodes 11, 12 for the inspection and the terminal electrodes 6, 5 for the scanning lines and the signal lines are released.</p> |
