DISPLAY DEVICE AND IMAGE DATA COMPOSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make different pieces of an image data correspond one to one and to display them precisely one over the other by putting different kinds of the image data together after matching their structures. SOLUTION: Actual image data in digital form supplied from an actual image data generation part 12 through an A/D converter 14 are held sequentially by every two pixels in parallel by a latch circuit in a buffer 28 for actual image data. Similarly to the actual image data, OSD data supplied from an OSD data generating circuit 16 are held sequentially by every two pixels in parallel by the latch circuit in a buffer 30 for OSD data. The actual image data held in the buffer 28 are written by one picture to an image memory 24 through an image controller 32. Then the OSD data supplied from the buffer 30 are put together with the actual image data read out of the image memory 24 by the image memory controller 32.
