The cutter comprises a cutter (11,12) for the lengthwise edges and a cutter (21,22) for the crosswise edges. The adjacent cutters are at different heights. A conveyor (3) conveys the printed products to and through the lengthwise cutter to deliver the products onto a crosswise conveyor (4) directly behind the lengthwise cutter. The crosswise conveyor conveys the printed products trimmed along their lengthwise edges in a direction crosswise to the conveyor leading through the lengthwise cutter in a curve downwards or upwards to the crosswise conveyor. A discharge conveyor (5) runs towards the conveyor leading through the lengthwise cutter.
