A seat is supported on two side frames each with front (1) and rear legs (3) linked by a bottom cross member (2) and a seat support (7) at the top. The frame also has a seat back support (8). The rear leg (3) of each frame is linked to the frame top by a telescopic section sliding into a fixed sleeve (4) and with the setting secured by a friction grip (5,6). Releasing the grip enables adjustment of the seat inclination and the rake of the seat back. The frame sections have some elasticity at the corners to provide a sprung support for the seat.
