The control system has at least two processors (12,14) coupled by two buses (20,22) to a common memory (16). Both buses connect with an I/O unit (18) that handles inputs from sensors (42-44) and outputs to output stages (50-52). A power on logic unit (32) connects with filters (28,30) provides start up inputs for the processors. During the processing of the user programme the system watchdog runs continuously and generates resets when required. The filter stages eliminate the possibility of a false reset condition. ADVANTAGE - Improves performance of vehicle control units. |
