The invention concerns a control device for coupling means (1) such as for instance a clutch, a brake, a gearbox control or a speed regulator, in particular for motor vehicles, comprising motor means (2), an actuating member (3) for the coupling means, a linkage mechanism (4) arranged between the motor means (2) and the actuating means, and a force moderating arrangement (5) comprising at least a standby power storage (6) for moderating the operating force of the motor means. The invention is characterised in that the force modifying means (7) act on the power storage to vary the level of power stored therein.
