PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture layered electrodes by contriving shapes for current collecting members of electrodes which constitute the lower and upper outermost layers of a layered electrode group. SOLUTION: This battery is a layered type polymer electrolyte battery, wherein a layered electrode group, in which positive electrodes 6 with a positive electrode mixture layer formed on a current collecting member and negative electrodes 7 with a negative electrode mixture layer formed on a current collecting member are layered via polymer electrolyte layers therebetween, is sheathed by a facing member. The lower and upper outermost layers constituting the layered electrode group are made to have the same polarity, and electrode leads 8, 9 are formed in a central part in the electrode-width direction. |
