PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby power consumption of household electrical equip ment and apparatus by installing a power application switch which is in parallel with a switch on the secondary side of a step-down transformer and close- controlling the switch through the operation of the power application switch. SOLUTION: A controller for household electrical equipment and apparatus comprises household electrical equipment and apparatus provided with load devices (7, 24, 32-34), a step-down transformer 23 installed on the electric equipment and apparatus, a control device 20 connected with the low-voltage side of the step-down transformer, and a load drive device 35 which drives the load devices. The secondary-side circuit of the step-down transformer is provided with a power application switch 21a, comprising a normally open switch and a switch 24b parallel-connected with the power application switch and the switch performs closing operation, when the power application switch is operated. |
