PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease deviation in position (deviation in position that is varied periodically for each color) of AC component in a subscanning direction of a color image forming device. SOLUTION: This color image forming device is provided with a color slippage detection part 8 detecting deviation in position of a registration pattern on an intermediate transfer body, a driving motor 41 to 44 respectively rotating and driving photoreceptors 11 to 14, a motor rotation control means rotating and driving the photoreceptors 11 to 14 independently each other by carrying out rotation and drive control of driving motors 41 to 44, a photoreceptor phase detection means (21 to 24) where detection of the rotational phase of the photoreceptors 11 to 14 is carried out and a CPU 9 that controls the rotational phase of the multiple number of photoreceptors 11 to 14 by independently rotating and driving each driving motor 41 to 44 through the motor rotation control means so that the photoreceptors 12 and 14 are rotated against the rotational phase of the photoreceptor 11 that is a reference at a phase difference that counters the deviation in position of the AC component in the sub scanning direction detected at the color slippage detection part 8.
